GetHired is a site where both job-seekers and employers alike can find value. For employers, they can post jobs to the GetHired site. GetHired will also send the opening to their extensive database of qualified job seekers to maximize exposure. Candidates can be reviewed via video and voice. GetHired can also be used as an applicant tracking system across all of the job boards. Employers could also schedule interviews and conduct them online through the GetHired system as well. The application also helps out job-seekers in that they can create a profile showcasing their background and talents. These individuals can also add video and audio introductions, so employers can get to know them and they can stand out from the pack. On January 30, 2012, the site raised $1.75M in an oversubscribed round of seed funding. The site's co-founder and CEO is Suki Shah. GetHired's other co-founder and CTO is Naresh Patel.

GetHired is very simple to use and will attract many potential job candidates and employers since it is a free and fresh job listing site. There were no bugs or issues encountered during the review. Jobs are easily located and listings are quick to post. The site was fast and very responsive.

New users can register by clicking on the Sign Up link located on the homepage of the site. New users will need to indicate if they are a Job-Seeker, Employer or a Recruiter. New users could also connect to their Facebook account in order to register. For those who wish to keep Facebook separate, the will need to input the following information in order to get started: first name, last name, email and password. New users can also determine if they want to have a private or a public facing profile. Finally users will need to agree to GetHired's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in order to get started. Step 2 of the sign up process requests users to input their address and phone number. Step 3 requests some pertinent information to help weed out jobs from job seekers who are not qualified or job seekers from jobs that aren't applicable. New users are then encouraged to upload an audio introduction and a photo to stand out from the rest.

It is also an effective tool for job-seekers since it walks them, step-by-step, in creating an interactive a media-rich resume that is professional and appealing. This is definitely a site for anyone in the job market to take a look at! The only issue with the site is that since it is relatively new, its database of jobs for particular location might be a tad scarce.
